Kids Haven opened in 1992 to serve the homeless (street) children and children in crisis in the Ekurhuleni region, South Africa. Everything we do is focused on protecting these children and giving them a future. Spend some time on our site to learn more about us and to understand the lives of our children.

Our boy - M
Young M is a talented and ever so cute young boy who honed his skills as a beggar when he was just a toddler in Alexandra. Born to a 13-year old child, M grew up on the streets, not learning the difference between right and wrong, just living by his wits.
M was placed at Kids Haven when he was 6 years old. What fun - in and out the creche, hurting other children, stealing food, testing patience...
Now in Grade 2, M is still as cute and cheeky as ever but no more than any other 8 year old boy. Sometimes finding school hard but learning and growing - belonging and cared for.
Thank you for caring for children like M - Kids Haven, 'a place where souls are mended'
